The Faux Paws with Otter Creek

From raging fiddle tunes, to saxophone solos and unrequited love songs, the music of The Faux Paws would be hard to pin down with standard genre descriptions. The trio’s contagious groove, and feel-good melting pot folk music has been honed over ten years of playing together, and is the sound of three close friends (two of which happen to be brothers), who feel a musical kinship that transcends any stylistic limitations.
We have fallen in love with the music of The Faux Paws here on the farm. It's uniquely beautiful and we've heard tell their live shows are incredibly special. That's why we reached out to see if they'd be willing to come all this way to play for us in the barn! It's gonna sound sweet! We hope you can join!
Otter Creek was founded in 2021 by a group of friends who share a love of bluegrass and folk music. While all members share a deep respect for tradition, they don't get too caught up with labels. Bassist Finn Lester-Niles, long immersed in bluegrass music while growing up in North Carolina, draws upon grooves from his experience in jazz ensembles. Mandolinist Asa Skinder brings to the group hard-nosed, Monroe-style mandolin breaks, and an uncanny ability to find cool old recordings. Katie Loomis-Adams leans heavily into the Old-Time tradition.
Arrive early and eat dinner before the show! Blank Page Cafe will be serving up tasty farm fresh tacos made with hand pressed, organic corn tortillas and your choice of seasoned 100% grass fed Bread & Butter Farm ground beef OR seasoned veggies. Tacos will be made to order and will be available for purchase from 6-7p.m. No pre-order required. Taco Service will end once the show starts. They are $6.50 each. General recommendation - One is a snack, two is a meal! P
P.S. Folks have asked if kids are welcome to attend. Absolutely! We want all ages to be able to enjoy the fast picking, dynamic sounds of The Faux Paws and Otter Creek.
